Stories that smolder.

I’m a Swedish-Polish screenwriter, author and poet based in Stockholm, writing for film and television across contemporary and period drama.

My work is drawn to desire, shame, faith, class, power and the private contradictions people spend their lives trying to conceal. I write psychologically driven stories, often with elements of the gothic, the erotic and the unsettling, about what happens when repression can no longer hold. Folklore and mythology run through much of it, as inheritance rather than ornament.

Alongside my work as a writer, I have spent much of my professional life as a social worker, working closely with children, families and people in crisis. That experience has fundamentally shaped the way I see character. It has taught me to look beyond behaviour, to recognise the competing truths within a person, and to understand how love, fear, loyalty, violence and survival can exist side by side.

My background also spans literature, film studies, journalism and poetry. Together, these different disciplines have given me a particular lens: literary but cinematic, analytical but emotionally direct. I’m interested in characters who resist easy interpretation, and in stories that refuse to divide people neatly into victims, villains and heroes. Many of them are female-led, and often use intimate relationships and individual choices to examine wider questions of power, gender, class and social belonging.

Whether I’m writing historical drama, psychological suspense, folk horror, dark comedy or mature romance, I want the world to feel inhabited, the desire consequential, and the characters more complicated than the roles they have been assigned.
